Water/Sewer Division   

Water and Sewer Services consists of several different operating divisions which provide water and wastewater service to residents of the City of Kingsport and portions of Sullivan, Hawkins, Washington and Greene Counties. These divisions include Water Filtration Plant, Water Distribution, Water Meter Reading and Services, Wastewater Collection, Facilities Maintenance and Wastewater Treatment Plants. The Water and Sewer Services Division is supported by its rate revenues (water bill payments, fees, etc.). The rates and revenues must provide enough money to cover operational costs, pay debt service and adequately maintain and replace facilities as needed. These services are not paid for by tax revenues.
